The Great IFE Alumni – Atlanta Metro Branch is a vibrant and dynamic association of alumni from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Founded with the mission of connecting alumni and fostering a strong community, the branch aims to provide valuable resources, networking opportunities, and a platform for collaboration among alumni across the globe. Since its establishment in 2011, the Atlanta Metro Branch has been at the forefront of alumni engagement, supporting initiatives that benefit both current students and graduates. By contributing to mentorship programs, professional development, and community service, the branch remains dedicated to the growth and success of future generations of Great IFE leaders.
Great Ife Alumni – Atlanta Metro Branch is an alumni association of Obafemi Awolowo University, formerly known as University of Ife, and fondly remembered by all alumni as ‘Great Ife!’. The branch was officially inaugurated on July 16, 2011, and is open to all who attended Great Ife. The local Atlanta Metro Branch continues a strong tradition begun by the USA Chapter of the Alumni Association, which was inaugurated in Houston, Texas in November 1999. The Houston branch organized the first-ever international reunion of Great Ife Alumni in September 2000. Since then, at subsequent international reunions, new branches were chartered.
